Essential Information Group
David Sandeman, entrepreneur and founder of the Essential Information Group. After qualifying as a barrister in 1982, David spent the rest of the 80’s in the London property market, building and modernising flats and houses. Many of the properties were acquired at auction and this gave David valuable experience in the field of property investment and development.
In 1990 he saw a need for a comprehensive reporting service for the UK property auction industry and set up ‘EIG’. The ethos of the company was simple: to provide users with comprehensive, accurate and independent information and reporting on the UK property auction Industry, so that they could make the correct decisions.
EIG is today the acknowledged expert tool for navigating the auction sector.
David Leary (Host), Director
Essential Information Group
Since joining The Essential Information Group in 1996, David Leary has been instrumental in transforming the UK's property auction landscape through the introduction of pioneering technology. His work bridges technology and operations, enhancing services for auction houses across the UK and Europe.
As a member of the NAVA Propertymark advisory panel, he actively shapes industry standards. David’s contributions have not only advanced the sector but also set new benchmarks for innovation and efficiency.
