Essential Auction News
Welcome to the February newsletter that reviews auction activity last month, the last 3 months and the past year. You will see that the numbers for January were all down in the 12 metrics we cover with the exception of one in the commercial sector. In addition, these falls were fairly substantial.
However, given that just over 2% of all lots offered in the 12 months were offered last month, the figures in this respect are fairly meaningless. We finished the year with a very busy December and all the signs for February point to a good number of lots being offered and sold.
Before forming a view on how 2022 is going to pan out, I would want to see the results for February and March. I've every confidence they will be in positive territory and the growth in the marketplace will continue the trend set last year.
As always, I welcome you any comments you may have.
Please note the newsletter can also be viewed online. Kind regards David Sandeman davids@eigroup.co.uk P.S. Here at the Essential Information Group we maintain a database of virtually every property coming up for sale at auction as well as almost 900,000 lots that have been to auction in the past. It is fully searchable and allows you to identify properties coming up for sale that you might be interested in, and to see what similar properties have sold for in the past.
